A buddy of mine was shut down and sent packing because he complained about being out over 40 days. They fired him due to trumphed up safety reasons....so I suggest you new drivers take this guys advice..STAY AWAY FROM USA.

I believe it too, you have to fight for your days off (I have a series of dental appointments, to use as leverage) and they have no problem running you on loads that have to deliver during your break. But wait, in a few months you will get contacted by safety for falsifying logs.

I'm a west coast driver, but they want me to go all the way back to Van Buren AR to get stuff fixed. My cab a/c is not working, going to be fun in Phoenix and the desert with summer coming on.

I'm doing my darndest to get out of this rag tag outfit.

Fight for days off #### you gotta fight to be home on time , everytime . they hired me as an experienced driver not a student and i get a piece of junk truck and no miles wheres the respect . Yes students are getting off trainer trucks getting brand new trucks . Getting anything fixed be it DOT inspectable or not is like pulling my own teeth . They were gonna let me ride on steer tires worn on the outside tread so bad DOT would have shut me down . I pulled it in to a terminal had the head mechanic look at it . They put the moving of the frieght before the maintenance of there equipment . Come on a 60 mph truck if I stop to use the bathroom get a bite to eat i'm behind . No one in Van Buren communicates

After reading these posts, words from others I am having second thoughts..... If I break a contract, and not go with USA I will owe the money for school, but will another company hire or hold it against me if I break the contract... I will probley have payments deducted from payroll if I find a new place..... I am sitting at home waiting posably 4 0r more weeks just for orientation...... The sponser school says I have to have the hard copy before I can go ( Texas Licence ) and even be set up..
Called Tx dps and they say a back log on the hard coppies of least 4 more weeks.
Not so sure if it is a school policy or USA policy...... either way starting feel as I have been scamed

USA Info Please, I have found what seems to be a much better place, but also relize they all have problems and dislikes..... I guess I have found one of what you call one of the better of the bottom feeders..... will breaking a contract before orientation is set up do any harm......... other than owing mega bucks for the licence mill
    Thanks,

Some companies will not hire you if there is a broken school contract. They just do not want to get involved is kind of what I have been seeing.

Maybe what you may do is be up front with a new company and see if they will take over the payments on the contract for you as long as you stay there X amount of time. I know a lot of companies will pay certain amounts of money to schooling..
