Help with violations. “OPERATE VEHICLE WHILE TEXTING"

Well.....I hear what you're saying. I understand what you're saying. I think you're a little out of place trying to tell him what he should do with his child, especially since you don't know him from Adam, seemingly since you're having a talk at the pub. If he trusts the schools plan to protect his daughter, that ain't for neither one of us to outwardly voice what he should do to protect his daughter. The only other logical plan he could have is to keep her out of school if they know exactly when a shooter is going to strike. Once the shooter gets into the school, there isn't anything that can be done til the shooter is apprehended. Every school in America has lockdown protocols, not just for protection, but so hundreds of parents and caretakers don't get in the way of law enforcement, bomb squad, fire dept, and other officials. Sometimes parents get so emotional and reactive that they can do more harm than good, trying to be a hero and such. As for Uvalde, I'm not going to open up a dialogue about this topic, the only thing I'm going to say is, I feel bad for that police chief that lost his job after the fact. It's tough to be in a high pressure situation, and I don't envy him in terms of having to make the right call. It's easy for everyone to say what they'd like to think they'd do. You never know hat you're going to do til you gotta confront it. Mike Tyson always says everyone has a plan til your punched in the mouth and truer words have never been spoken.

 

The big difference between being Lucky and Unlucky is Lucky is prepared. The best person to prepare children for anything in life should be a parent or a guardian.

He's mad at the cop so any bad cop behavior makes him feel like he was the victim for breaking the regs RIGHT BESIDE A COP.

 

The Uvalde police chief had "active shooter" training in the school building where the murders took place weeks before the crime or in another building in his town with his police force. It's one thing to not quickly implement Plan R from the tactics manual they gave you five years ago and a wholly different type of failure to run through the practice for the event weeks before and STILL sit on your behind and listen to children being murdered and do nothing. The lengths some people will go to minimize fault is amazing. Almost like the only thing they can get angry about is trying to stop crime.

 

Man....don't waste your time. Some of these guys take pleasure in seeing guys screw up. The guys coming down on you didn't really read anything you wrote past what the charges were. Otherwise you wouldn't be getting this type of backlash.

In all seriousness, a parent or guardian is not always the best person to prepare a child for anything in life. Also, what makes you think the schools aren't preparing for all scenarios? I love the arrogant tone of your posts at times. Folks are out here thinking they got control of every aspect of life, like things don't happen outta no where. You're a truck driver, you definitely should know that even the most detailed preparations can still run into a situation that causes a delay, or even sometimes derail a run. Whether you want to believe it or not, we don't always control our own destiny.

 

Well.....you're entitled to your opinion, and I can understand it.....I don't know that I totally agree one way or the other. I can understand both sides of the coin. I'm opting to not get into Uvalde controversy if you don't mind.

 

You said the system is unjust, why wouldn't you want to go find a more just system? You admitted to each of the charges on your inspection report. Cop did you a huge favor by not issuing tickets and fines for each one. You just want people to rub your back and agree the cop is the problem. Big shocker.

 

Why does someone have to agree with/like the system in place? Why does someone have to agree with the punishment? I don't understand, so many of you tell drivers to lawyer up and try to fight whatever charges to protect their licenses, and now many of you are coming down on OP for doing just that. I am having trouble understanding the hypocrisy here.......

 

You did post on Uvalde and the fact the Uvalde police dept and the Chief of Police participated in the active shooting training a few weeks before IN UVALDE is not an opinion. It's a fact. Maybe it's not widely known on "criminals are just misunderstood darlings" radio network?
