...The bigger problem is the time it takes.

A real truck has balls. A fake truck has nuts.

Had this made for the back of my big rig. Handy as he** for the small stuff when I'm not pulling o/a. But yeah, a real truck has balls.

And that's the point of EV ownership - car goes from the house to work and back. Toss in an errand or two, then charge overnight. The idiots trying to do road trips in them are, well idiots. As for EV pick up trucks - it takes a special kind of stupid, kinda like trying to cut down a tree with a sawzall.

Last spring I bought a CR-V hybrid to replace my 03 Accord. While I may be losing in regards to fuel tax, I'm still up on overall fuel costs - enough to cover the extra cost in 2 years. About the same time my buddy bought a Prologue and an Odyssey (Prologue was a planned buy, the Odyssey is a reminder to watch out for deer). According to my buddy, both vehicles do about the same number of miles per day and the Prologue charging is half the cost of the Odyssey's fuel. I'd argue the Odyssey should get some consideration for being a kid taxi, but then we're getting into subjective analysis. Even with the ev tax surcharge there's a lot of money to be saved for folks that are just doing daily commutes.

And I'd be perfectly fine with the EV surcharge if the state wasn't also subsidizing building gas stations and cutting mass transit - including the free packer buses.

If I was commuting to and from the office everyday and lived in a city I'd probably by an ev as well. Seems like a great choice for folks that live in those type of situations
