They absolutely crammed my trailer too. Took me almost half an hour to get the bits frozen in the nose out. Look how long my snake ended up lol. Its longer then my whole truck!

 

Used to do a ton of those to Scottsboro Alabama, unfortunately haven’t seen that load in some years. The cleanup was a mess but they paid me well as a company man. I’m hanging out in south Florida waiting to clean up the wagon, load some shell in the AM for Jax then take next week off to go see family in Nashville.

 

Almost 90 in Fort Pierce, like Kevin from Home Alone said “who goes to Florida for Christmas”. Hard to get in the holiday spirit drenched in sweat

 

Good good! Loaded feed salt from Hutch for Ft. Morgan CO. Cutting up thru the brush I got pulled over for an inspection. Again. This time he wasn’t as lenient. I got marks on my sheet for no reflective tape on my cab corners on the back of my sleeper, and my ABS light on on my trailer. Got away from him and dumped my salt, then reloaded rock in Florence CO back into KS. You probably already know @Arctic_fox but I talked to Steve about next week, it ain’t looking good. He said he might be able to find me something to do around town Monday but after that there’s nothing going on most places are closed. Might have to go to Nashville and crash @Trashtrucker1707 party with all my free time!

Does that happen to be the same Clint that used to be with JK Williams and then Page? Just curious, that Clint gave me a long sleeve page shirt that I wore for a long time as a kid.

Yea everything is shut down and there are absolutely no loads moving anywhere right now. So im up at the loves in st.louis atm. Got family here im going to crash with over the weekend and visit with. Brought a ton of ammo for my pistol this trip and we plan to go hit the gun range then have a christmas party with some other relitives maybe go as a group to the aquarium here. Mini family get together going on basically.

My uncle whos place im crashing leaves monday morning though so unless clint bounces me up to ottawa monday to get my drop axle worked on (its jammed in the up position and will absolutely not move) im likely going to spend christmas in my truck. But since we are a family of truckers christmas is basically "whenever we can get a ton of us in one area with enough parking for a half dozen semis" rather then a specific date.

 

Well if there’s any place you want to have a ton of ammo it’s St Louis! Yea I got my rock unloaded this morning and I was supposed to take a load from Ottawa to Topeka but that cancelled and i loaded apples instead. I’ll dump those tomorrow, get another one and dump those and hopefully be done at a decent time. I think a lot of people are just blowing off next week I don’t expect traffic to behave itself tomorrow afternoon. Have a good Christmas!

Well me an my grain wagon made it home for the holidays. I dropped it at the Mack dealer for an injector problem on # 1 cylinder. Will have overhead done as well. Leaving out day after Christmas for another extended tour! For Christmas I want my truck fix to be a simple , no extra problems fix. Merry Christmas, happy New Year's to All!
