I’ve purchased a damaged semi, with bad frame, I’m trying to salvage the engine and transmission. The mechanic that remove the engine, said that differentials, I mean the rears are not worth it. He also mentioned they are 2 speed rears, which means they have 2 ratio.
Anyway , he can’t store those there, and I need an engine, but mine it’s still ticking, and I think I can get another year or who knows maybe 2.
How do you move an engine and transmission to a storage facility. Storage facility don’t have any equipment on premises to remove and move heavy objects like, I think a 3,000LB engine. These are heavy stuff.
Hello, How do you move an engine to storage?

^^^ what Long FLD said. I will add that if you really want just a plain jane storage facility, you could have the stuff hauled to you and then unload it with a forklift you rent yourself and place it into the storage building.
Flat Earth Trucker Thanks this. -
Find two pallets that have at least a 3k lbs capacity each, strap the engine on one, the transmission on the other one.
Rent a box truck with E-track, with a high capacity lift gate, and use a high capacity pallet jack to position it where you need it to be.Flat Earth Trucker, 77fib77, Sirscrapntruckalot and 4 others Thank this. -
