Easy week back and forth to NC with freight to run me into the holiday…cheap freight, but freight all the same

 

4 loads this weekend, here are 2. The Tower load was a nightmare. I will explain later.

 

Tower load was overloaded on the spread, came to conclusion doing the math by subtraction of the steers and drives. And no public scale to double check. So I ended up waiting 13 hour for truck scales to flip the sign.

 

Cali scales ? I've never been chased down from the ones I couldnt tell if they were open or closed. The sun was in my eyes and glare on the sign...allegedly

 

Got a new customer: first load split between the central park zoo and battery park

Being Sunday night and Holiday week, the truck traffic was slow, it never backed up like usual to be closed, until the morning shift. I had about enough, and decided to take a nap, when a guardian angel rang my phone. I looked up and it was closed, HAMMER DOWN. Btw, I was stuck between the scale and on ramp, so I was at the point of no returned. Good thing Smokey didn’t come check up on me to see what I was up to . Or else, I would’ve been hiring a crane to make some adjustments.

Yesterday's delivery of a lathe and saw to an Amish machine shop in Indiana. Even got to unload inside.
