Bayonet lugs are considered an “evil feature” of what the less enlightened stupidly call “assault weapons”. To wit, the Springfield M1A which for those who don’t know is the semi-auto only version of the M14, is sold with flash suppressors that have the bayonet lug ground off. That was the first issue to be rectified on mine.

Food eaten, conversations h ad, old stories told again, passed on people remembered, lunch of prime rib eaten, desert eaten, coffee drank. People herded out, hugs and handshakes exchanged. Folks waved at as they left.
Probably 2 hours of clean up now.
