Well boys, we ended the year at 122.9K. Not bad considering cut runs and bad weather preventing work the first almost 2 months!

Everybody ready to be depressed?
From the horse's mouth:
CPI Inflation Calculator
Historical Six Figure Club in November 2024 Dollars:
1. Jan 2015: 135k (100k in Nov 2024 money = 135k in Jan 2015 money)
2. Jan 2016: 133k (100k in Nov 2024 money = 133k in Jan 2016 money - You get the idea now)
3. Jan 2017: 130k
4. Jan 2018: 127k
5. Jan 2019: 125k
6. Jan 2020: 122k
7. Jan 2021: 120k
8. Jan 2022: 112k (when this thread was made)
9. Jan 2023: 105k
10. Jan 2024: 102k
You hit the equivalent of 100k in in January, 2020 dollars (still way more than what I made).
That inflation chart is seriously depressing. What's even more depressing, is that the chart is going off the government's official numbers, which the government themselves as well as the FED have an active interest in fudging the numbers and downplaying inflation as much as possible. So in reality, these numbers are actually more depressing than what I just listed, because inflation is definitely worse than the official government numbers on inflation.BreadMakesMePoop, The_vett, BlackjackCo and 3 others Thank this. -
I mean... I agree, no doubt but I'd rather have made it than not. For what it's worth. ATLEAST there's an empty victory thereJohnBoy Thanks this.

Finished off the year at $121k. Thought I made significantly less than last year because I took plenty of paternity leave, but I made $730 less than 2023. Guess that means I'll owe federal taxes again unless my 2nd child tax credit gives me a boost.
Gonna start off 2025 with a bang. Worked every day before and after Christmas in my 7 day pay period, should be a UUGE check coming on the 2nd.Attached Files:

Definitely. I agree 100%. You guys at least get annual cost of living raises at most LTL's too. OTR has taken a huge hit over the past few years with wage freezes, decreases and companies going out of business, thus widening the wage gap between LTL linehaul and OTR Truckload. I would say the average OTR Truckload wage is about in the $0.55 - $0.60 CPM range.
What's the ranges for OD and Estes nowadays (I know it varies slightly between west coast and east coast)? $0.77 - $080 CPM, lower range to top out range after 3 years? Something like that?
That means LTL linehaul is about $0.25 CPM ahead of the AVERAGE OTR Truckload driver. I see that gap only widening as the years go by.LtlAnonymous Thanks this. -
OD linehaul in my region of the midwest is at .8228cpm plus all drops and hooks and fuelingLtlAnonymous, Cardfan89 and plynnjr92 Thank this.

OD linehaul in Southern California tops out at .8558cpm, all on-duty not driving is paid at $16.50/hr to abide by state wage laws. Teams top out at .9297 split, NorCal linehaul makes an extra half cent a mile than SoCal.LtlAnonymous Thanks this.
