Diesel fumes in clothes dryer from washing after doused w/ diesel

Wipe the drum inside and dryer down with distilled vinegar....afterwards she can put baking soda in the dryer and run for a bit without any clothes in there.....

 

How about...buy her a used dryer? An sorry I couldn't resist.

Also, I suggest the vinegar and baking soda method.

Happy New Year to you too. Maybe soak a towel with some kind of odor away and dry it ? Or a mixture of baking soda and water real heavy on the baking soda and dry it , maybe take the dryer outside and turn it on its side and spray it with soapy water and then dry it with a hair dryer. It can't be allergic to water it dry's clothes. wow it really is new years now close anyway.

 

Oh, I've been there, that sounds like wifey doghouse material, I said to her, hey, it smells like money. She didn't get it, and I doubt your sister does too. They make all kinds of products now for odors, trouble is, some are toxic, and baking soda probably works just as well.

 

Do what the others said, but you'll have to let the dryer air out some after you use the vinegar and baking soda. Be prepared to repeat the process more than once.

 

Well, since no one else has asked, how exactly does one spill diesel in a laundry bag.

It sounds like lots of bad decisions led to this.

When I have diesel on my clothes my wife will wash them once in a regular bottle of Coca Cola. Not Dr Pepper or any other soda. Just Coca Cola through one complete wash cycle. Then add soap and wash again. Your clothes come out clean and no diesel smell.
