Skunk, check your health insurance policy. Both Humana and United cover chiropractor as routine dr visits with just the co-pay.
Google up Pro-Adjuster and find you a chiro that uses one. No more stretching and twisting and no more pain. I was only down for a week, 3 visits and I was fit as a fiddle. Do not fool around with slipped discs.
Vynil seats? Didn't know anybody still used those ##** things. Get you one of those seat pads I mentioned or something similar. Vynil will give you Hemherroids faster than anything.![]()

You don't understand what a chiro does. He/she is merely trying to get things back into proper alignment.
As for seat position..... I'm 5'8'' and even in a W900L I rode with the seat all the way down and all the way back.
If I was in a position where I needed losts of clutching I'd slide the seat forward a notch or two so to have better control.Big Don Thanks this. -
My father went to a "chiro" for years, claiming "relief" after the visit...years later, with three vertebrae fused from the calcium growth on the joints from chiropractic manipulation, he could not bend over to tie his shoes. Also, 50% of the medicinal professionals do not accept chiropractic as a true medical science...and I am also in that camp, with some medical background myself! -

I'm 5'6" and short-legged. No issues here in my FL Century.
I have heard of pedal extenders for cars, and I believe there is such an animal for trucks, but I've never personally seen them. -
So then mr resident medical expert....... what is the PROPER solution for returning your back to its proper alignment after "it pops out"?????????? -
OBTW did you ever or do you drive a "low rider" as your personal ride?
I've had a couple of rigs that had vinyl seats, and I always used a cushion in them.
OK, to you folks fighting over chiropractors:
It is just like anything else. There actually are a FEW good ones. I had one down in California that really helped with back problems, for both my wife and myself. Unfortunately, he died in a plane crash.
And I have known medical doctors who recommended chiropracty.
OTOH, I have seen more chiropractors who just didn't do the job. And yes, I have been hurt by one.
I guess the bottom line is, if you are thinking about going to a chiropractor, you really need to get someone who you know has helped other people, rather than just looking in the phone book.
And yes, my medical insurance does limited coverage for chiropractic treatments. So have my last several insurance companies.
This is one subject that folks quite often feel very strongly about, and the fact is that each one of us will have our opinions formed by our experiences. -
If your back "pops out" it means you have strained or torn critical ligaments that are designed to maintain the correct positioning of the spine...relaxation with heat (bath type relaxation in as hot a water temp as you can stand) then massage therapy and finally the proper alignment will be returned..however the strength of the ligament/muscle group will be diminished from that point on...so proper strength replenishment exercise would be the key. If the injury was severe enough, surgery would be a last resort to the fix.
Also as a funeral director/mortician, I have witnessed enough autopsies to have seen first hand what a chiropractors "healing" has done to many spinal columns. Your body...your choice...your pain. Speaking of pain...if the "procedure" hurts then your body is telling you to stop...pain is a clue that you are doing something wrong!59Panhead Thanks this.
