Dis pump...If it came from a parts house in a box; nearby, then it should be back in the box, and back on his counter and another box on the way to be tried to see if it leaks.

Lived the horrors. Rebuilt t/conv for a Clark transmission. No go on. Returned to get another . It won't go. They said our trans input shaft had "bulged".
Went to Clark dealer, bought OEM new. Slid right on. Rebuilder paid for OEM new, and 3 hrs labor for trying/travel. Saving grace here was trans still on pallet from build, and truck was ours used for sale/ No push, could toy with the rebuilder. He wanted our continued business and my mouth and documentation shut. I'm Hell when I'm well, and seldom sick....

I bought this power steering pump 2.5 years ago. I dint have reciept. I tightened the belt and it was good for 2 years. It's under a 100 online for a pump. With out the pump It's real difficult to turn. I wonder if the steering box is bad or it's just the way they are made.

A shot, if it is a little leak from shaft area. There used to be a product "Smooth Seal". Was pushed as good to "swell" the seals in automatic trans vs rebuild.
Stop gap measure and would reduce leaks some and help one a lot if not metal wear problems. There should be something on the market now that might improve the situation for your limited use.

Try..Bar's Leaks 1334 One Seal Stop Leak Automotive Additive, 11 oz - Walmart.com

If you'd generate some ROI, you wouldn't need to FREEZE TO DEATH AND DIE inside your own house.

LS 120 day inspection tomorrow. Then I can work and not worry about the 230k mile hooptie kia.

Plus the cold house won't matter either.
