I've blown a few. Never been chased. If there are 1000 trucks on the road, and some are bypassing and some going in, the chances of them coming to get you are simply in your favor due to numbers. (For instance, the chicken coupe going into Atlanta on 20 eastbound) But if the chicken coupe is open and you're the lone duck and you blow it, I guess you might get chased.

I know one time I was heavy and was late. I wasn't going to stop unless they pulled me over. Then I'd play stupid saying I thought I got the bypass on the box. I don't make a habit out of it though.

I will never forget coming out of a paper plant, in the MIDDLE OF THE WOODS, I come around this corner and come across a micro-size chicken coupe OPEN. Are you serious? I drive over the scales, which was so tiny it only could measure a SINGLE axle at a time, with a cop car parked there, I wasn't sure if it was a decoy, I didn't even stop and I know I was heavy. He never chased me or nothing. I went back over it a few months later and he was there and was VERY rude to me. I'm thinking he knew it was me that blew him off a few months prior.

its failure to follow traffic control device, not the end of the world

They mail the ticket out west with no chase, just pull the plates off the truck before you go by

PA apparently has wires in the road now though, I heard we had a guy get nailed a few weeks ago at 100k and change at about 1100 at night,

That scale south of Baltimore I almost never go in that one, they never even weigh you......... Until......one of the few times I was up that way last year I seen troopers had a dually pulled over who it looks like he ran the scale. He went to the right to blow by it. If im gonna blow by, Im going left(south on 495, not west)

If you saw green lights, you likely got the bypass on the message board of the scale. They have two signs, the last time I went through there one of them wasn't working, but when they are, both signs will say the same thing, either green telling you to bypass or red "truck must enter scale". I am not sure why there are two electronic signs, I guess to make sure you see at least one of them because they are pretty close together. The scale you are talking about in Davis, near MM 55 is closed or was the last time I went through there. The new scale with the digital signs is just south of Marietta, if you are going north on 35 to OKC.

Now that I’m hearing this I think it was actually the Marietta scale.was Night time & im not too familiar with that whole area. All I know is I pulled into the right lane, the sign said open, then there was a flash ( kinda like going through a toll road) and that was it. Exit to the scale came up I got confused if I should go in or not and just ended up staying on the freeway with a couple other people. I know now no matter what I should just pull in if it’s open but I’m still hoping nothing will come of this down the line.

You're good man. I am sure most of us have done this once. I did this once years ago on the southbound side from OKC to Texas. I was day dreaming, I won't lie. Just drove right past the southbound Davis scale (that is still there and operable) and didn't realize what I had done until it was too late. Nobody ever came after me though.

Pretty much same thing happened here. When I got to OKC I was like “hmm I think I ####ed up “ called a buddy and he pretty much said “ yeah man you blew that thing “.

Had 3 buddies pretty much say what y’all are saying. “ if ya didn’t get stopped yer probably good”

I’ll never blow a scale again , I’m growing gray hairs in my 20’s over this :D

Do they even have a way of seeing you when you do blow that one? I hate that scale too, for the reason that they don't weigh. Most of the time, if they are even looking, it's like we are all being corralled like horses. If that is the same one I am thinking of anyway, the scale is kind of hidden behind the trees and all that junk.
