Thanks I appreciate it! I guess I just have to try harder lol. Just seems unplugging isn't as successful or easy as I want it to be. But it sounds like maybe it just isn't easy in general. Do you typically do injectors in pairs? One at a time? Or all 6?

@DUNE-T do you have an injector preference? First one I did I got a Delphi reman. Second one I got a Interstate McBee for like half price so I couldn't really pass it up. I have a spare one that I might send out for a rebuild at area diesel service. I hear they do really good work. These are my first injectors I am replacing on the N14 so wasn't sure if there is a best brand or anything.

Unplugging just one at a time, but I found out that they need to be changed in pairs. 1/6, 2/5, 3/4. Whenever one of the pair fails, another one will follow soon.

I had really good luck with Insite diesel from California, but there is a new guy running the shop from last year and I have a hard time communicating with him.
I will buy from this place next time. Ask for Lenny

Yeah honestly at this point I am really tempted to just buy 4 and do the rest. I get incredibly annoyed when the truck stumbles and bumbles around RPMs. Just be done with the hassle. These have around 400k on them now. And we're all supposedly new when I got the truck.

Might as well. Find someone who is experienced with doing overhead on n14.
Delphi is garbage, I put all 6 and 5 of them failed within a month

LMFAO good to know. I won't buy anymore of those. Honestly I do my overhead myself. It is pretty easy and I like doing it. I am putting different fuel filters on too that filter down to a lower micron... i figured it was worth a shot for how touchy these injectors are.

Which ones are you using? My trucks hate Baldwin, I use Luberfiner lff1000

My truck unfortunately came with the davco 382. I think maybe from factory? You can put all sorts of different cartridges into it. I honestly haven't ever liked it since I got the truck. I'm going to replace it with an airdog which is probably overkill but thought it could help with the longevity of the injectors. I don't remember what filters it holds. But it can filter down to two microns I believe. It has been a minute since I opened it to look at it.

Just keep driving it until it gets worse

unless they are original there is no point in doing all 6, because there is no
Guarantee you’ll get 6 good injectors even from Cummins, you want the PX part number not the rx

switched to Donaldson filters on mine because a bunch of the fleetguards ff1000s started getting made in India and the threads were cut too thin so the truck would loose prime and crank forever, I’ll use a fleetguard 1001 made in USA or Mexico though if I can find them

I wouldn’t run anything from metro on a lawn mower never mind something I rely on to make a living with

little 2 stroke oil mixed with power service in the tanks helps
