If you are applying to a carrier that is using the new Pre-employment Screening Program, you DO have to sign a release before NICTECH will release the information to the carrier.

HireRight (DAC) probably needs to have a release on file also....not 100% sure about that one, but I'll check and get back to this thread.

You can get a free copy of your DAC every 12 months from HireRight:

When I ordered a copy of my dac from hireright I seen that the company I worked for had ran my dac 3 times while I was with them without my knowledge so I thought they can just run it.

I haven't found specific info on DAC yet. I've been to the site, but I'm looking for something, in black and white, that says HireRight has to have a signed release from the individual a carrier wants info on. Also, I'd be willing to bet that you signed an FOIA waiver when you hired on which your carrier. That would give them carte blanche as far as checking you out while you are employed by them.
