Fruehaufs were a very popular Brand back in 70's and 80's, were they bought out JR?

One of Trailmobiles Manufacturing Plants used to be located in nearby West Point, PA, my Dad hauled new Trailers out of there to destinations as distant as Texas

There is a lot more to the story. You are aware of some of it, but the contracting officer decided to retire effective 1/31, most likely due to having to go back to work in the office. She lived in St. George but worked out of the Denver office. She did her job well. I'm not defending work at home, but it worked for her.

Her replacement ( who was the contracting officer on a previous job) called me yesterday rather than emailing everybody involved, to let me know of the situation. She didn't want everyone to know so that we will continue providing our deliverables on time. I have told both subcontractors what the situation is.

I'm fine if they want to cancel the project, but I should get paid for what has been done.

Main rub here as I see it is it is going to take some time to get the bogus stuff shut down,
The actual notifying the news and getting the employed out of the premises. And with the tame judges throwing sticks in the spokes, it is taking longer.
Then these "striking valiant workers" who won't go home. Wonder wonder payday?? There is such a prime fertile ground here for "activist/influencers.
Further; it has to be halted, examined/checked /inventoried to know what we have, before issue out can be made. Else is to dump it back as bad as before.
And believe this... There are those in both parties eagerly waiting to get in on the new deal. There are not only Democrat thieves in this.
Our hope is we have struck a halt; some unwinding/rewinding , and to go forward watching the cookie jar more closely.

Looking back, it will have hurt a lot of people and businesses. Then ask yourself.. With what is claimed to have been discovered, how much longer could we have gone on the same level of spending and giveaways. I fear we may have just reached the tipping point and may still be in balance.

Sure hope that Ur Contract, which I'll assume was executed with the previous, is honored after the "Grandstanding" is completed

You're talking about CA. You sure it's not a sea bass classed as a bird?

We had the right of Stop Work Notice if not paid in 90 days. But you had to continue until then.

There were countless times I was in somebody's office on Day 58 or 59 picking up our draw, then hand delivering a check to my big supplier.

Day 60 things get real. Like your blood pressure and the stress on your heart and nerves.

I think I'm too smart to try it now.

At the very least you can write off a loss . I had a builder file bankruptcy on me in 08 . I saw the guy a few months later , had a wad of cash that could've choked a horse paying for fuel . I embarrassed the sob in a store full of people , felt good for a minute.
