Friends trailer that had hub go on him after he recovered from one of his drivers with yet another mishap with it. Wheel/tire took a separate journey...... luckily no one hurt or accident.

Happened to be empty in AL, so ran 500mi up to VA here so he could transload into mine & at least save load, get it back to NY.

So, I'm baby sitting till he get's back. Hopefully, loaded for me to take over.

Fun times, fun times.

There're awesome on someone else's truck.

 

Me neither & will not run them.

Think that was part of issue. Found out previous driver had supersingle blow & replaced roadside in that position just before.

 

Got the trusty ol Series 60 in it too! Probably a 14 liter, one of my brother in laws bought one identical to that, outa Texas, same deal, oilfield truck, high hours, low miles, he gave 10k for his. Not terrible, but somebody had put signature Peterbilt wheels on the drives, and that is just sad on a Western Star! Wrecks my OCD!!!

 

I'm embarrassed having it behind me at TS.

But, very close long time friend.
