I have thought about adding a traveling axle style trailer. Some days it would be awesome because I could back into a place and drive off the back and not have to put out tires or boards to keep the road looking nice it would also maybe save some time over detaching but I don’t think it would pay off for me. at least currently to much of my customer base is stuff where height and often weight would make me go back to the shop for the lowboy. in a more urban area where maybe you could stay busy with telehandlers and manlifts and small dozers/trackhoes it would be great ( I think)
Anyone run a landoll?

If you want a tri axle dump truck, why not get this kind of trailer to haul equipment around and you could also set up your dump truck to pull a dump trailer pup behind your dump truck if you want to haul more than what your dump truck hauls legallyDino soar, Bumper and Albertaflatbed Thank this. -

The trailer is something separate or perhaps maybe in place of the triaxle, because I could run it with my tractor and probably make a similar amount of money.
The things that I move are usually trucks so I would need something low and easier to load like a landoll or even a hydraulic tail trailer.
But that's a really nice setup in that photo for moving equipment.Speedy356 Thanks this. -
Is there anything you can't move with a hydraulic tail trailer?
What is better or what can't you put on a hydraulic tail that you can with a tilt or sliding axle? -
The landoll is nice because of how low it sits. I bought one 2 years ago and was using it a lot for totaled trucks and buses. Things that were not towable but had to fit under bridges. I don't use it as much now, but it is nice when I need it. Really handy for construction equipment too. Tracked equipment loads very easily. I would have never paid full retail for mine, but got a really good deal on it and had to do some work on it to put it on the road. I sank parts and time into, saved quite a bit of money.
