Pro: with some exceptions -- fuel rigs can go places that other big rigs simply can't.
One afternoon -- as I left a main hwy & entered a well-to-do neighborhood, a local cop followed me (presumably....to see what/where I was doing/going). When the cop saw/realized I was about to feed the neighborhood's local Circle K -- the squad car disappeared.
Con: the pay for fuel haulers isn't really in-line for the level of risk & responsibility that's there -- particularly in more urban areas.
Given the current value of the dollar (or maybe I should say, the lack thereof) -- fuel hauling should easily pay six figures....but in most cases...it doesn't.

Is there a weight limit on drivers? A friend recently started hauling fuel and he's trying to convince me to come out of retirement. I looked at the ad for drivers and it said the ladder accommodates 450 lbs and the top of the trailer 200 lbs. I weigh about 225, does that mean I'm out?

So I didn't get a call this week about that job. Oh well life goes on. I could try to apply to the other fuel haulers nearby that I know of. Dead River Company and Irving Oil to name a couple

Alpha Transport is now making applicants take a culture index survey. Goodluck figuring out the right answers. They say there are no wrong answers, but I couldn’t find the right ones apparently.
