They decided to spin us off, and it will take over a year to complete. They are hiring 300 salespeople and offering an undetermined amount of shares for shareholders.

They decided, at least for now, that a company profiting 20 percent on $10 billion revenue was better to try and grow than sell. Freight had the best operating ratio of any Fedex Opco by far.

The OM has brow beat me out of half(1/2) my chicken.

Now she's taking two(2) or three(3) kibbles at a time out of her bowl, and eating them in the bunk.

If that after hours agent would have told me to take that trailer to a truck stop, I would have called after hours ops, and The OM and I would have called it a career at The Star.

She wants to be the big drama queen, " I need to call trailer maintenance......"

Do what you need to do baby. There's always people at that shipper, and it was quite simple, but I'm not college edumicated.

Wait......I was in University at 16, but I concentrated moar on cougaring.

So's The OM and I live again.

She got really mad when I told her reporting the driver counts for jack squat. And I said now you agents can effect change by not giving the clown any loads for awhile.

    "We do that."

Right. And rhinoceroses might fly out of The OM'S ###.

Sounds likes my night. Supposed to pick up a preload but it wasn’t. Then trailer had busted marker light lower one so no way a cop is letting it slide. Picked up from here about 2 weeks ago and another trailer had light issues. Wtf hasn’t been two weeks out Pretty sure company is a charity taking driver time as donation.

Glad you got it cross docked right away.

Our situation, we had to deal with the brokers customers "policies" for 3/4 days. Customer, not the broker

I had picked up a pallet jack & plate on way to save that load. Intended to back trailers to each other & simply transfer (reefers).

Oh no, we cannot do that. Can't use any nearby certified companies to cross dock, either. Must be one of customers OWN facilities..... closest 150mi away.

Informed them that we were just lucky enough to get that 44,000# off highway & the few miles to truck stop without it toppling over. No way we can chance 150mi and public's lives. Remember, I brought truck & newer trailer 500mi to handle this right away.

Customer gets ahold of wrecker company they say will haul trailer there, of course on us. "OK, liability for load & anything that happens will be on them. We bet you bottom dollar they will not haul once they see". Mind you, many pics had been forwarded & we gave them multiple solutions.

Wrecker company shows up, immediately says no way in hell we can haul that in that condition that far. (Told you so echoes bouncing through my head......).

End result, 3/4 days of back & forth with customer not listening/understanding situation & solutions offered at our cost.

Customer finally relented & allowed cross dock at a nearby facility & return to origination...... after sending replacement load via another truck to original reciever.

All could have been handled in a couple hours truck to truck, or same day at nearby facility & delivered one day after original appointment. Instead of costing themselves & us a sizable amount of $$.
Broker agreed with us all the way, but was hog tied by their customers policies. (Huge company, by the way).

Oh well, common sense & reason has become a rarity anymore. But, life goes on...... LOL

Glad you were able to get things worked out in a much more sensible manner.

That's a bit of drama and bad luck. Once your truck is fixed it should be good to go for a while.

I think LS will just disconnect the auto inflation system. I have had trailers they didn't want to fix correctly.

Well the boredom is real. I'm probably doing a 34 here. I moved parking spaces tripped a 14 hour violation. I had 20 minutes left on the 11, didn't think about the 14. I could have personally conveiged... A 4 axle tractor in high idle was next to me. Probably a 600 hp Cummins. Too loud. Of course refer pulls in next to me later.

Have waffle house, sonic some pj coffee thing. Dollar general a mile away.
