If he was that good of a business owner that he would be making good all this money, then why is he not using his own numbers?

I will tell you why, he doesn't want the liability or have to accept the consequences of not following the rules. So when things go to crap, it's on you, not him and he will just move onto the next guy that will let him use their numbers.

Your MC is like your drivers license. Protect it at all costs. Otherwise you can very quickly have serious consequences that affect your ability to earn a living.

So he is using his own numbers too but he wants to have two companies going at all times in case one gets shut down and he can transfer his trucks to the other one. Otherwise he'd lose all his drivers if he was down for a while. But the liability is scary for me, I don't wanna get sued for his drivers violating HOS rules, which I found that they do

    Numb and tscottme Thank this.

Bro .. ask yourself this.. if he is doing honest work, why would he ever think about his company being shutdown? There is no reason for the fmcsa to pull your authority unless you are doing something highly illegal

I found out that they edit their HOS and run constantly. I have a backup MC which used to belong to my dad but I'm not trying to get sued if his drivers kill someone

Don't do it.. in fact i have a better idea. you will be doing a good deed for the rest of us, if you report him to the fmcsa with the numbers he is running now... guys like that getting shutdown is the best thing that could happen to them and for the rest of the industry

So basically after my MC gets shutdown or draws to much heat, I'll use yours.

Hmm, that tells me right there that he WILL burn you. In fact, he is planning on it.

This is no different than if you drive down to Mexico regularly, and I walk up to you and say, hey can you take my suitcase back to he USA with you. .I seem to always get inspected coming back so I need a backup plan. I'll toss you some cash if you do it for me. ....

So he says he would be running both companies with his dispatch team overseas. But I get what you're saying
