That goes with out saying.

 

I don't consider this model "Paid Parking" 2 hrs. is free. If you stay longer but buy fuel or spend a certain amount in the store, restaurant, or shop, you don't pay to park. I wish all truck stops would go to this model and have some "Reserved Parking" too for the odd ball coming in late at night.

 

Yea it sucks when you spend 700 dollars at a place and can’t find a spot. Guys that won’t even spend $1 will park there.

 

That place sucks. Needs a complete tear down and rebuild.

 

Petro in McCalla , Alabama was putting in the ticket thing last time I was there. That was over a month ago. Where they put it in going to be a disaster, you go down a long two lane drive way and make a 90 degree left turn to get in the parking lot . There's plenty of room if you take your time and watch what you're doing. Problem is there'll be some dummies messing that up every day. Also it's a huge parking lot and a lots of oversized used to park there, could be interesting getting thru there.

I talked to the people there at the TA and they said that the city of North Bend will not allow them in any way shape or form to do any of that nor expand the property and that the city doesn’t want another truck stop as long as they are an existence in that town… The people running that town despise trucks

 

I support paid-only truck stops.. It means you'll run freight at profit or you'll park on ramps and shoulders.. Since DOT isn't enforcing CSA shoulder reflector and parking rules you'll see trucks packing shoulders everywhere..
