52years @Dale thompson we had. Lost her 7/27/2011, after her 78th birthday on 7/19/11. Married me 3/12/59, honeymoon 3 days, and I shipped to the PI with the Army. Was able to get housing and we paid to fly her over 6 months later. 1st daughter born there. Made E5 before getting out in 61 and was able to get them back with me on the MATS flight. She was of Irish decent; so many differences of opinion, but, she was smart enough to usually convince me.
We took out commitments seriously, and if every couple lived as overall good life as we had together, the world would be such a wonderful place.

Sooo…, I printed and read my SD permit. It says I must declare and use all axles for an overweight load. Well…. I did NOT declare my flip axle. I tried calling, but it’s Saturday. I tried calling the 24 hour Poe. (It’s apparently not 24hr). I guess we are just going to roll the dice and see.

Are you using your flip? I would think that the price of the permit would be higher same weight - less axles with it up.

On our Idaho Annual OS/OW it states that all axles must be used when running under the permit. I hauled a swather one time through the Boise POE with one trailer axle lifted and and the tag lifted because the swather only weighed 25k or so. I received a polite scolding at the port because I wasn't using all the axles. He acknowledged how stupid the wording was but was warning me of it. I believe they may have changed that to include language about legal axle weights. Probably ought to read it closely again. Lol

I am not. The permit would be the same price either way. I just wanted clarification. Utah will make you put any lift down, but they don’t fuss about the flip being up. I don’t know if I’m in violation or not. But all the scales in the state appear closed, sooo we just going to do our deal.
