If you were the better driver, you would have been scanning that entry way before you committed. Seeing possible hazards, dick head drivers, etc., before you commit is something that you need to be aware of. Just saying.

I could not continue ahead on the road that I was turning from unless I drove over the grassy median. D.Tibbit posted a picture of this turn lane on post #22.

I agree, but we are all humans here. We have all forgotten to scan ahead before, even you.

Not when I am going into a Pilot. Scanning ahead in those #### holes is serious business.

Let me see if I got this straight.

In this picture, you were where the blue arrow is, and the other truck coming out the wrong way is where the green arrow is. Do I have that right?

If that’s the case, you’re on a public road. He isn’t, so if it were me he’s backing up one or the other, either to let me in or to swing wide and take his right turn from the left side. I absolutely would NOT back up under any circumstances.

Yes. I was where the blue arrow is. And the other truck coming out the wrong way was where the green arrow is. Yes, You have that right.

Your answer is very informative to me. Other people probably will benefit from your post as well, but won't admit it.

you are correct in saying the person on private property should yeild.

I always considered the vehicle on the travel lanes as having the right of way.

and to answer your question, yes, a car can hide behind you.

    'nuff said, end of discussion.

We need to know what you would do if an alien spaceship crashed right in the middle of the road while you were turning, while a golden retriever ran out and started doing the Michael jackson moonwalk in a pair of ray ban sunglasses .then some Russian guy dressed in a full adidias track suit starts screaming profanities and blocking your truck..
we need to know how you would handle this situation
Bro we have told you the same thing 40 times already

Where is the issue here? Plenty of room to go right. Did you leech out into the lane? Did you block green truck guy? Enquireing minds want to know.
