    I am looking for any company that trains drivers and then employs them. I want to get my class a but I do not have the money to pay for school so this is the only option I have.

    Watkins and Shepard, Cargo Express, Stevens, Schneider and Swift to name a few.

    I am personally trying to get on with WS and CE. WS is $4000 includes everything but food no reimbursement and CE is $3500 with 500 down covers only school nothing else and they reimburse back. Both pretty much guarantee you a job as long as you don't crash or fail the testing. :biggrin_2551:

    Prime will hire out of GA, some of the best training going. Will forgive the cost of training if you work for them for 1 year after getting A-seat rating. Also, the training pay is better than just about everyone. My advice would be to apply to every company mentioned so far, and see where it goes - your objective is to get your CDL and drive. These are training companies that may or may not be a good fit for you a couple years in the future - remember, your objective here is to git-r-done!

    I live in Georgia close to North Carolina and South Carolina. I do not have unemployment.

    WS is 4k up front? I wish I had some money just a little to put down towards school but I don't I just spent my last money I had on fixing my personal vehicle. My father said he started going through werner but they sent him home to deal with a medical issue and he got a call from a different company and he started there. I have applied to werner as a student and I never hear anything back...anyone else deal with this?

    I applied to the companies that were mentioned and I don't even get a call!? Wow. What is going on they all say thanks for applying we will call you within 24-48 hours and then I don't hear anything.Very frustrating.
