I try to sell mine before they die of old age, however, when they start to get old they can go back so fast sometimes, you don’t even have a chance to unload them. I have a friend that hauls cattle, he’s at the plant every day, and if I see that I have one that’s not likely to make it until Saturday when I can go to the sale barn, I call him, and he hauls it straight into the packing house on one of his loads. Turned a bad deal into a not quite so bad deal for me pretty often already!

I have a handful that were named when I bought them, but they get numbered too, that way it’s easier for record keeping. Currently have one, name is Fireup, that is the exact definition of your last sentence, lol! Just gave her the death sentence on Monday, she goes on Saturday. She has bad feet, chronic mastitis, and only gives about 40 lbs a day. And she just bred back, and I am unwilling to keep her another 8 months

But what do they use them for? Beef cattle or dog food.
I would think that the texturing/marbling or whatnot would be entirely different on a lot raised cow, but I'm probably wrong.

Quick question. Does anybody remember the steps to get your hazmat and Twic at the same time. Meaning go to dmw to pay then setup fingerprints for haz then apply online for the twic or?
