Rates are crashing and fuel to the moon!

Further proof the load board is a fools game

 

every one in my town is still running dump trucks for $95 an hour….. just because everyone is doing it doesn’t mean they are making money at it

probably rate to the truck minus a fsc, but that’s the trucks money not the drivers or even the owners

 

They’re all in a race to the bottom. Trying to provide service till better rates appear. It’s a game of who has deeper pockets.

 

Slowly going broke in a attempt to starve out your competitors is a losing game ultimately because there's always going to be a new contender to battle.

You might win the first couple rounds but eventually another carrier will come in and offer the same service you're offering for less money and the next battle ensues.

The more competitors, the lower the rate. Seems to me a better business model is one where your customers truly need your services and they have little choice in competitors to rate shop with.

 

The phrase I use with people that think they will be the ones that’ll conquer a market is “there’ll always be another schmuck with a truck”. It never ends.

 

Fact is it goes on all the time. The best most efficient system wins. Railroads, Oil Industry, Airlines, Automotive, Retail, just about every Industry. The weaker get purged and the strong get stronger. Competition, taking risks. It’s the cornerstone of Capitalism and the reason it survives. Some will be trodden upon. Winners and Losers.

I wish someone could post Monday 3-31 loads for dry van,150 Mile radius of Romulus Mi.

 

193 loads, 48k max weight, within 150 miles for Monday... Nothing listed out of Romulus but here's a screen shot of the closet loads...
