I used to go to Florida every year for vacation, and Publix was THE place to shop. Produce to die for. The employees were very friendly and helpful, and I talked to a driver who was being unloaded, he said the company was one of the best, and cherished their employees. My ex-gf was going to apply, but they wanted her to start on the dock for a while, which she wasn't interested in. They have a terminal in JAX and I think serve most of Georgia too.

    Wright Transportation, Inc.

The lane change combined with your location will be dicey, but try these folks here since they have a terminal in Pensacola. Perhaps they have a presence there.

Have you thought about pulling reefers? If unwilling, what's the resistance?

I’m pretty sure you don’t walk in to a driving gig with Publix, I’ve always heard it’s a move up the ladder kind of thing.

201, Speedy356 and nextgentrucker Thank this.

A quick google search shows in order to be a publix driver you must currently be employed in one of their distribution centers, its based on length of service when you might be picked out of the crowd to start driving for them.

    Gatordude and nextgentrucker Thank this.

Yeah, that's what I thought too, with these big mega grocery stores you have to start in the warehouse with them.

Yeah, I'm not doing Reefer cause of their messed up schedule.
