Buying used wheels and tires from a truck recycler could save you money from buying new. It would get you a complete set of wheels, that would save you the swapping tires from Columbia to the Volvo.

I would buy used rims. But if I have to change the studs anyway, I don't see the point right now. My options are to just stick with the steel rims that are already on the truck and buy a new set of 11R 22.5, or swap with the Columbia if I want aluminum rims and save $3000 on new tires. The Columbia is going to be out of action for a while. As a matter of fact, I'm turning in the plates today and removing her from my policy. I'm getting ready to hit the road for about 3 months, so I'll reassess when I get back.

Based on the limited information you gave here is gonna be the information. So with this it would be 1200-1250 RPM and would try and stay under 1300 RPM.

    RPM | 1000 | 1200 | 1400 | 1600 | 1800 | 2000 | 2100
    ----------------------------------------------------
    Torque | 1700 | 1750 | 1700 | 1600 | 1400 | 1200 | 1000 (lb-ft)
    HP | 300 | 350 | 400 | 450 | 475 | 450 | 400 (HP)

You sound like a guy that would go for working maybe 7-10 days on a salary as a kind of "relief driver" and then taking the rest of the month off...;)

    Iamoverit Thanks this.

Took me years to figure out why that is. I've finally realized it's because I love leaving things behind.

Rideandrepair, D.Tibbitt and gekko1323 Thank this.
