I think the 10 speed has the same final ratio as the 13 (.73) but you can use the calculator below if you want to get an accurate idea of what your RPMs will be for any given setup.

I hit the sweet spot again, it was just in 1st over drive instead of direct, and figured the weight loss of unsprung weight would make a difference offsetting the fact that I was now in 1st overdrive, it did not offset anything. My true hope was I could toggle between overdrives (17 and 18 th gear) like I do now between 15 and 16. I spent all night loaded tonight pulling direct at around 1350-1400 rpms and only had to downshift a couple times for the small hills I hit, I didn't really have to downshift but do anyway because I don't like pulling hills down low. Even pushing the power I do my truck will not pull final overdrive below 1450, that was my true miscalculation, figured I could pull final down low and that is a no no in my truck, heat builds way to quick and the motor does not like it

I considered switching from 24.5 LP to 22.5LP. simply because of availability, and the ability to use old steers on my trailer. My current trailer has 11R22.5’s. I think I’d like those on my Truck for a better ride. They seem harder to find than 24.5LP’s.
Speedometers always been off a bit. It’s as if the Truck originally had 11R24.5’s. I know it didn’t. Replaced the speedometer, set dip switches to correct settings. Same thing, speedometer reads faster than actual speed. I can fix it by resetting dip switches. This way keeps me out of trouble. I doubt yours has dip switches. They’re pretty much obsolete now.

Replacing studs is expensive. Last time I checked maybe $20 each? We did it on a friend’s Truck. Pounded old ones out, pulled new ones in with nut and air wrench. It was much easier than expected. For the fronts, price wise might want to just buy new hubs, or hub kits with new bearings, races, with the longer studs already installed.

I replaced some on a trailer back in December. Around $4.00 apiece from fleetpride.

I run tall 22.5s on my front and the ride is so much better than lp 24.5 I didn't think it would make that much of a difference but it does. Now the big battle in my head is between tall 24's and tall 22's for drives, really want to check out how tall 24's would do with my gearing and probably will do it, but I know they are harder to find on the road then 22.5's

what your hooked and suspension to matters to, 46k 8 bag and 11 24.5s I’m like 14’1 with the reefer, the other t800 tractor I’m still like 13’ 8” with 12r 22.5s

my next one I’ll probably just join the crowd and go with the low 22.5s, got 11r now.
