Lifelong resident myself, citrus and Marion counties. Grew up in Inverness, sad to see what became of that, all my childhood memory spots are gone for Starbucks, chipotle, you name it!

Any of you guys have old trucking photos, 90’s era trucks? I’m the only one in my family to truck, had an uncle I didn’t really know that ran out of the port in Jersey, I remember as a kid riding through wildwood and knowing this is what I’d be doing when I grew up.
I’ve always had an admiration for the guys that did it in the early years, Lester Coggins was a big outfit near me and they ran small bunk FLD’s all over this country, can you imagine the new breed of steering wheel holder having that for comfort on the road? A mattress and a drivers seat, no google maps, nothing, load and go and go home a month later, they don’t make them like that anymore, like the old school guys that post in this thread, I’m 22 years in but you guys just did it different back then. -
Feedman, Oxbow and Texasgordo Thank this.
