Nope. Especially food grade tankers. They aren't allowed to have baffles because it can house bacteria etc, that never gets fully cleaned out. I use to haul them too, food grade. You don't learn how to drive those through instruction, you have to learn it by experience. No fast starts, stops or turns, and you learn to shift very quickly, cleanly and smoothly, else you will feel it. :)

KIMG0011.jpg I've done a fair amount of food grade. The more viscous the product, the slower it rolls and harder it hits. The first time I actually pulled a load was when the boss walked up to me when I was fueling and said "Dan's sick, you need to take his truck up and unload it"
I finished and parked my truck, hopped on his and pulled it around to fuel it. I set the brakes, killed the engine and hopped out just as the mechanic walked up. I took a step or two, heard a big WHOOMP and the truck jumped about a foot. The mechanic almost fell down laughing at the look on my face.
That was liquid sucrose. Corn syrup is a total mofo.
The stuff beats a truck to death.

#18 rebar from gerdeau in midlothian ...

place is a ####ing joke ... I have noticed the places where tmc and Jordan is the majority carrier, seems to be the worst shippers to load at!

Probably because they have priority loading conditions in contracts, so they can keep their people moving, etc. or they're just cheap backhauls that get them somewhere else, otherwise they would be first in line. :)
