I gotta agree that ICON is one of the better boxes made today.

The ol Crap on was perty rough for 1500 so the hunt continues

Honestly I think boxes are like lawn mowers. There is only a couple manufacturers making all of them. I have seen several things on the web we’re icon tools are identical to snap on.

I had a Mac box bottom box once. I bought a husky top box for it. It was identical and fit perfectly.

I don't know about the boxes but I've been told if you want snap on tools for half the money you can order hand tools from caterpillar and it's the same tool

I needed a parts storage solution for production equipment change parts. My boss wanted to buy Snap-on. I convinced him to look at IKON due to the cost differential. He went to HF and spoke with the store manager and inspected the unit in the store.
He was told the guys that designed the IKON were former Snap on engineers. Who knows if this is true. He looked at how well it was built, especially the double slide drawers and spring shock absorbers. It has an 8000# capacity.

He bought one during the Presidents’ Day sale and got 15% off. It took 4 weeks to get it (It was delivered). I loaded the drawers with heavy stainless steel milled parts. After loading it was almost too heavy for me to push. Even heavily loaded the drawers operate smoothly.

The only thing I don’t like about it are the wheels. They are made of a dense plastic. I wish they were either a little larger in diameter or were rubber topped steel.
That is my 2 cents for the day.

    Fun times.
There is a real feeling of accomplishment when you weld out some rusted, broken off bolts.

@Pet781693.Examine, look at, measure, snap a pic of your wheels. Find a supplier, (McMaster-Carr, Grainger- TSC Store) that has a Faultless Caster company.catalog. You can find what you want there. That don't work, take several pics. Go to this site to get phone. Call and talk with
Ken Carroll, (he owns it). Tell him what you have here, send the pics, know your measurements. He can fix you up.
(Mention my name for exorbitant pricing.)
