Why didn't you ask the question BEFORE going to CDL school?

Maybe one day someone will explain why 99% of newbies ignore what is in their record until just before they have to start repaying loan for CDL school. SMH

You can probably get a job somewhere but it may not be worth the poor pay & bad work environment. THERE IS NO DRIVER SHORTAGE. It will likely take a few months before you get hired. Not everything you see in the media is true. MOST of it is completely made up if not just a copy of another fake story.

120 hour CDL course is going to limit who can hire you. Most companies want a 160nhour course.

Honestly because the the tickets were 4 years old years old. But I didn't pay attention to the suspension dates until I started filing out applications. Most job post say 3 year clean driving record. I paid out of pocket l. I just wanted to see what trucking is like, my friends and brothers are truckers

I'm a bit prickly about the topic because the most common question on the forum is a newbie minutes or days from finishing CDL school asking a question like " I just signed a lifetime contract with Awful Trucking and was wondering are they a good place to start working?" Or a question along the lines of "I was just convicted of reckless manslaughter after my 5th DUI with a motor vehicle and was wondering which is the best company to start driving?" Insurance companies will see everything in your driving record, even 50 years ago, so sometimes you get refused VERY LATE in the hiring process. Suspensions for non-payment are not the end of the world. They are better than moving violations, and a lot better than speeding tickets of 15 or more over. MAKE SURE TO SPEAK WITH CURRENT WORKING DRIVERS AT THE COMPANY YOU WANT TO WORK FOR BEFORE MAKING A DECISION. Ask them to describe their last few week's pay and schedule and customers. Just because a company needs drivers doesn't mean the company is a good match for you until you know lots of things about them. Good luck.
