Why did the rear bumper get lower when I slid the tandems back to the rear of the trailer?

It has to do with the curvature of the earth. When the tandems were slid back it moved them away from the apex thus lowering them.

I thought maybe the coriolis effect may have been involved as well!

 

Should we go ahead and tell OP that when slides the tandems back while unloaded the rear bumper is going to go higher, or will that make his head explode ?

When I slide my seat forward it makes my knees higher
