Looking at the total package, the Roxor takes FAR LESS energy to manufacture, utilizes an existing infrastructure, requires a few minutes to replenish, requires cheaper insurance, is minimal threat to first responders and those around it, most likely less money per mile to operate, doesn’t exploit the people of the Congo, minimal patronage of China who own the cobalt and lithium mines of the world, and can easily be recycled when it’s no longer serviceable.

when working I only drove my pickup 400 miles a month so retired is even less…the truck is perfect and practical many who just need a mode of transportation and dont need a $90K financed “Jonson extension” in the driveway

I’d buy one. That’s why I’ve always liked Toyota. They’re much more basic than many of the others. I really think he’s on to something with this idea. The new pickups are so expensive anymore some of us don’t even think about buying anything with less than about 75,000 miles that’s already mostly wore out.

Not trying to convince you of anything. Just looking at the benefits of EV. Yep there's drawbacks but who knows what improvements might be made years from now?

The EV idea has been going for ~140yrs, now, and they’re still not feasible. If they were a solid business case, our tax dollars wouldn’t be sustaining that industry.

What's the charging time? That's the sole deciding factor for me. Unless it can be charged to drive 250+ miles in less than 15 minutes it's not practical for me.

All of those talking points are a bunch of overexaggerated hype. Honestly who gives two seconds of thought as to how much energy it takes to make something? Not something I wonder about or lose sleep over.

You're coming at me like I'm some pro-EV. I'm open minded about it but could really care less. Our paid for 20 year old car and truck do just fine and we're not buying new vehicles. But something that doesn't need gas/diesel or oil changes is interesting.
