This was in your neck of the woods @Banker
With all the car hauling shenanigans seen lately you guys might have to start your own "hall of shame" thread LOL.

@JonJon78 it's so bad we'd be spending all our time talking pictures! It's actually fairly rare to see a load done right, at least where I roam.D.Tibbitt, JonJon78, Banker and 1 other person Thank this.

It did rain like crazy yesterday and he was at the location of numerous wrecks. Just about anytime it rains there will be a tractor trailer wreck somewhere in the next half mile of that stretch of road. It’s a 50 MPH stretch and the curves ahead of him are treacherous when wet, but people fly through there every day.Last edited: May 4, 2025

This the longest I run and it’s under the 6’ legal requirement for rear overhang.Last edited: May 4, 2025

I just now watched the whole video and I agree. He is definitely a comedian and hopefully people will get the satire in his video.Last edited: May 4, 2025

Do carhaulers get a special rule/exemption for overhang ?
I've heard of some guys getting written for overhang when it's just a regular tractor pulling a car trailer, rather then a true car hauling set up like yours... which would make sense because no other trailer can u overhang a divisible load and be legal -
Yeah, I might be a bad boy on occasion, but you wouldn't know by a quick glance! Having learned to haul cars while running a lot of Iowa, long off the back just isn't in my carhauler DNA. They would come out of the median just to measure you if they saw an axle behind the taillights. That was kind of a PITA when vehicles with less than 4 foot of rear overhang became more common. Based on what I see rolling when I'm over here now, they don't seem to care since we've gone to 80' w/ 6' off the back.
