I’ll do a garage if it’s easy to get to, the driveway is paved, and we’re not talking about 7 figure real estate. Otherwise they’re SOL.

O days. There is no reason to go without a shower. I'll pay for one if I don't have any shower credits

I often do things I'm not supposed to do when it's the easier/smarter/nicer thing to do and it doesn't cost me anything. But as they say, no good deed ever goes unpunished.

What do you do when the customer calls 5 minutes after you left claiming the moffet damaged the asphalt on their driveway? Or claims the driver scratched the floor/hit the door?

When Schneider had the Green Bay account, they had a driver who tried to put two skids of 12 foot vinyl siding into a single stall garage. Moffet forks aren't long enough to support the length - claim for damage to the garage and the product. The resulting poop fling resulted in the driver quitting, the account manager getting fired, and very mild mannered safety critter getting written up for MFing the account manager.

Then there was guy who expected the driver to place the skids of paving stones/flower bed edgers/whatever strategically around the property. Dude tried to offer the driver cash first (I forget how much, but it wasn't much), then demanded and got incensed that the driver wouldn't obey him, blocked the truck with his car and called the cops. Home Depot serviced failed Schneider on the load, which basically meant that Schneider didn't get paid for two days of work.

There's a big difference between doing pedal work like you're doing and doing pedal work for a mega carrier contracted to a big box store. I'd have no problem working as a Walmart Driver (except doing the Walmart - Cheer), but I would never work on a mega carrier Walmart account even if the pay were the same either way because poop increases exponentially relative to layers of management.

My apologies for saying you weren’t in a day cab. I’ll write myself up.

Nobody does that anymore. Pay is less working it as an outside carrier by a lot but it's easier running than regular freight.

Whenever possible, I showered once a day. I also kept body wipes, in fact, I still do. These days, there is NO excuse to be a slob! I have sat waiting for a traffic clerk and have a driver enter, and the smell hit me a few seconds before the driver got near me.

I always shower every evening. I have literally got out of bed and went to shower. It just feels so gross laying there. The rare occasions I’ve actually done it, the next morning I feel like a total nasty slob the whole next day. I can’t imagine going 7 days.

I always shower once a week, whether I need it or not. I'm a bit of a clean freak.

Go into Home Depot and buy some gorilla wipes. There’s a rough side and smooth side. You choose which side for which body part. Choose carefully. They’re really wet. Then use paper towels to dry.

Sometimes getting to a shower before bed is tough. At least this way I don’t feel like I need to change my sheets everyday.
