There will be plenty of driving jobs. Hauling fuel around the PNW it’s almost impossible to not have an inward facing camera. It honestly now I’ve worked at 2 places that have them, and I’ve heard a peep from the company about anything I’ve done. It’s not all that bad. There is one company who doesn’t allow any Bluetooth use, and top speed is 58 mph. But they make a lot of money and agree to it. Ours are basically just don’t hold your phone in your hand, don’t text and drive, and don’t go more than 5 mph over the car posted speed limit, and it won’t trigger anything. We also get quarterly bonuses of $1000 so that is some incentive as well. Clean level 1 inspection currently gets you $1500. Keep your samsara score above 95 and you’ll never hear a word.

There also won't be a planet because in 2-3 years climate change will have this place looking like a super hot ember!:)

    Doesn't work like that.
It just leaves the coastal areas under a bit of water.

The tide goes in, the tide goes out. Over and over again over thousands and millions and billions of years.
There is nothing new under the sun. What has happened will happen again.

The real trick is to predict where the next coastline will be, so you can build a nice resort there JIT.

Correct. All of us farmers are making so much money we will upgrade to autonomous trucks within the next 2-3 years, har har. Loggers too. And it’s gonna vacuum getting anything through UPS or FedEx. They will send a truck with no driver, and you will have to go out, enter an encrypted code, open the truck, sort through the boxes to find your own package. Dream on

In 2-3 years AI will realize it doesn't need us or like us..Then we are doomed.

    2-3 years? OK.

But I guess it's like climate change.
There is that one little tipping point, after which nothing can stop it from going ballistic.

I think the tipping point for AI will be a bit more obvious than for climate change.
Mainly because I think the tipping point has already passed for climate change, but the efforts are still in containing it and trying to reverse it instead of just learning to live with it.

And I think a better term might be CI, rather than AI.
If it is true Intelligence that we Created...there is nothing Artificial about it. At least, no less or more so than when God created Man in God's image.
Are we only AI as well, in that respect?

Or it could be termed Created Intelligence Artificially - CIA ??? Has a nice ring to it, don't you think?

FedEx will pay someone 12 bucks an hour to ride and take the package to the door until they get a humanoid robot. Good thing you thought this through

    I'm not a newbie.

Just because it was wrong in the 90s doesn't mean it's never going to happen. It's here a lot sooner than you think, because boot licking office lizards like yourself aren't as smart as you think you are and didn't realize what narrow AI is capable of.

I seem to recall seeing that in a movie where the AI was named Skynet.
