Tell me y'alls thoughts.
I really don't care for these fairings. If you remember the old pics, these were 6' longer until I cut them down.
My battery box is back there, and it makes maintenance a PITA. It literally takes 45 minutes to unbolt all the bottom brackets.
Chasing an ABS problem the other day and had to remove it. I got to thinking I could just add steps to the existing brackets, along with some fab work I'm sure.
I've got some polished diamond plate I could cover the battery box with, polish the tanks, etc. Would look better I think, while losing 150lbs.
I had planned on pulling the tanks and painting the frame this coming winter anyway.

Right hand mill with 3 head blocks, hasn’t ran in a while, they took the sawdust drag up so they could mow close….broke down plumber, CAXPT, singlescrewshaker and 6 others Thank this. -

If you used 1/4", I'd make it a 2 piece cover. 1/4" can be tough to break to 90*, without it cracking and needing a big radius. I'd just use 4 bolts on top, instead of 2. The step pocket in the bottom still wouldn't be hard to add.broke down plumber, CAXPT, singlescrewshaker and 10 others Thank this. -

Put some new shoes on my bucket of bolts I’ve had in inventory for a few months. Got the address for the pickup in Baltimore for the mining equipment. Same exact place I deliver steel from the plant here in Huntington, be an easy find. Got set up with the Emodal and have a twic card already, hopefully it won’t be to bad if an experience….
