What if it Snows?

We bought a new GE about a year and a half back. 21.9Cu Ft. Ice maker never did work. We usually try to buy local so we got it a a local Western Auto store. (Don't see them around much any more but we had bought a dryer and a freezer from them already). But when I called about the problem they wouldn't do anything except give me the number for GE. They do full repairs and GE tried to get them to come out but they said no. So we called GE and they sent a guy out and put a new ice maker in it and he then left before seeing if it was ok. It wasn't. So when the guy came back out he determined that the water valve was not opening to let the ice maker fill up. I had already told him that was the problem. He also said that the internal wiring on the fridge was defective and there was no replaceable part to fix it. So GE ended up giving me a refund for the full purchase price. Was going to go buy another new fridge but the wife said that she didn't want one, that for the little ice she uses she would just use ice trays.
I was talking to a guy the other day and he is going to come look at it and see if he can maybe fix it. No charge if he can't. Supposed to come out after i get back from a short vacation I'm leaving on next week.
