I used 5 bags (300lbs) to do the whole car..inside, outside and underside…I sandblasting in a portable garage with poly on the floor so i can recover the media and reuse. The poly is Stegawrap Tm. It’s puncture resistant poly that is gererally used for pouring concrete over floors.. FYI its not UV resistant

You think 750lbs of sand will strip a 378 frame?

Im sure 750 lbs is enough..lay a tarp down to recover media for reuse if you have any doubts.
A 3M 7502 mask is cheap and most comfortable, use dust filters….certainly better than a disposable mask

The amount you use will vary drastically with the amount of rust. Paint and light rust comes off easily heavy rust takes more time and sand

Most of the frame is painted. The paint under the cab is mint, the other 19'6" has a lot of paint coverage with some spots of rust.

    W923 and '88K100 Thank this.

Im using a 18 CFM @ 90psi compressor. It can keep my small HF pressure pot going constantly. Years ago i had a 7cfm at 90psi,,there were many pauses waiting on pressure to build,,so doublet the time to get the job done….many pauses turned into beer breaks..

    Charmeiser and W923 Thank this.
