I did not think it would be that difficult to find a trucking job with all the "shortage" of drivers. That makes me worry some as I have some employment gaps and the last time I drove truck was 2012 and I am soon getting back into OTR again.

3. I've pulled wet and dry freight in dry vans and reefer units.
4. I don't have any endorsements, plain class A license. Should I get more endorsements?
5. I've applied to local, regional, even OTR, with a variety of carriers.
6. I would prefer not to relocate, but I wouldn't necessarily say no to OTR.Chinatown Thanks this. -
16.9 miles from Tacoma. That's a pretty good location.
38.4 miles from Seattle. Still an excellent location.BIGdiesel2019 Thanks this. -
Pretty sure Western Express will hire you for OTR.
As for local/regional, we'll help you check around for those.BIGdiesel2019 Thanks this. -
I think that's unfortunate that Western Express would hire me, because I've heard bad things about that company. Other drivers have said that the pay is the lowest in all the industry, you might make 300 dollars in a week. Does anyone have more to say about Western Express?Chinatown Thanks this.

12.9 miles to Fife, Washington.
Lynden Transport has a dock-to-driver program. Maybe work on the docks and do some local work and yard work.
You'll need all the endorsements.
