Probably depends on if the company that owns the 250+ acres around them wants to carve out a chunk or not. Loves only owns 15 acres and they’ve used all of it.

Should add that it’s possible Loves has tried and the current owners are wanting a premium because they know they hold the key for Loves to do any type of expansion. It’s frustrating to see empty land like that in the middle of WY when there could be a decent store there like the one mentioned in Bliss.

I'm guessing they pull people in from Rawlins half an hour down the road, and furthermore since it's such a small populated area that places like Love's or One9 in Wamsutter are considered good jobs to have because there's not much else around?
I know the Pilot in Evanston has trouble keeping the showers open during 3rd shift a lot of times because of call outs or shortage of staff.hope not dumb twucker, Knucklehead and Friend Thank this. -

I don’t often comment, but I am surprised that SSB went back to Shaffer!
I signed up with Crete for OTR dryvan last year. Didn’t last 90 days. So much BS.
My truck out of orientation wasn’t detailed (pet hair EVERYWHERE and smelled horrible) or serviced (past due for PM), and it had OOS violations on it. And it was missing curtains. More than half my orientation class had immediate truck problems, one guy got switched like three times.
Low miles, only time I got good miles was when they dedicated me to Cheyenne WM, not even two weeks after starting. They often left me out to dry, 24 hours here, 40 hours there between loads and PTAs.
My breaking point started by being rushed out of hometime for a load that didn’t load until midnight and didn’t deliver until the late morning the next day, and was only like 200-250 miles. They sat my butt in Deland waiting for an empty trailer to come through for hours. Then they finally sent me to Jacksonville for an empty that didn’t exist so I shut down. Lost that great load, oh bummer lol. They got me a Lowes run from GA to Houston. Ended up sitting in Houston for almost 40 hours at a paid truck stop. Then they got me a load to the North Platt WM, which I was initially excited about because Cheyenne ran me so well. But NP left me sitting between loads for the entire week. I’d get something like 300 miles total for a day, then sit 16-20 hours. Last day there, they put me on a load, and right after getting started to get it started, the office pulled it. They said it wouldn’t leave the gate soon enough. First time I ever walked into a dispatch office and told them off. I called national (first getting directed to the office because that’s smart), and told them they better get me off the WM account and with loads going back to Deland.
On the way home, my fuel card stopped working, and operations wouldn’t answer. So I’m stuck with a truck on E in the fuel island of a busy, busy Loves, late one evening, no parking anywhere. So I paid $200 out of my own wallet to get down the road. I submitted receipts and requested reimbursement - but I never saw that cash again. I knew that’d be the case.
Spent my hometime cleaning out the truck and detailing it. I drove it over to the Deland yard and sent a message to dispatch that I quit. Shop guy said I had to pay the mandatory $300 detailing fee, and I told him I did it myself and that I was given the truck undetailed anyway. Still saw that cash disappear off my last check.
I’d rather shred my license and stick my arm through the radiator fan while it’s on than to ever drive for that company again. Snackbar, I wish you all the best, but I have no idea how you could go back!! Good luckSpeed_Drums, Speedy356, MACK E-6 and 12 others Thank this. -
