Summer and heat are coming. I'm struggling with my anger and driving. I improved for a few months but the past 2 weeks my drivesmart score has skyrocketed with 6 following too closely videos.
Other than quitting with a inward facing camera and drivesmart AI job, what are some things you guys do to control it?

I allow myself plenty of time so I don't feel rushed. If you have time to spare you won't get so stressed and upset when you lose a minute or two.

Drive really slow and make frequent stops for things that make you feel good. I bet you don't even notice a change in pay.

Basically, what you face everyday will exist on the roads whether you are driving or not, so what does it have to do with you?Gatordude, brian991219, Lonesome and 2 others Thank this. -
When I get too stressed or aggravated, I pull over and find some ice cream lol. Even if it's just an ice cream sandwich from a convenience store. Or sometimes a milkshake from Sheetz.
Sounds corny, but it makes all the difference for me. I fondly remember one night a few years back, I was having a rotten night. Anything and everything went wrong. About halfway through the night, I was two hours behind schedule, and traffic was just pissing me off. I knew I had to walk away from the truck for a bit. So I stopped at Sheetz, and got a milkshake. And I sat outside, and enjoyed the warm summer night. Stayed there about 45 minutes. Jumped back in the truck and finished my night without a care in the world.
Slowing down below the speed of traffic also seems to help me. If everyone is doing 70 and being dumb, I'll slow to 65, let them pass me. Eventually I find I'm all by myself and I kick it back up to 70 and cruise.Gatordude, brian991219, OlegMel and 14 others Thank this.
