    I have to agree.

My thoughts on this situation is that OP would have to somehow add value to his name. I don’t know how he, in an industry full of “meat in the seat” mentality, can do this. The only chance I can think of would be for him to work a non trucking job at a place that has it’s own trucks, and display a consistent stellar performance and work ethic. It would be more advantageous to learn another trade.

BD2025 Have you tried Paschall Truck Lines? I just recently went to work for them, I don't know their requirements or the items that will get you reclused. But it's worth a shot.

From my research I have to get my CDL before i can apply there. They will be my first stop though once I get my CDL. I just need to get it.

For anyone with something in their background (criminal history, driving record, drug use, gaps in employment) or with specific limitations on driving anywhere at any time (child care arrangements, care for a loved one, specific sleep schedule, etc), or has some medical/psychological condition (prescription drugs, illegal drugs according to the Feds, only the Frderal laws are relevant, nit your state) it is more important than for those who can work anywhere & anytime that you follow the next reccomendation.

DO not got to CDL school until AFTER you have located the employer you want to work for, who knows your specific restriction, and wants/will hire you. Going to school before you have a firm commitment or job offer for an employer who knows your specific item will cause you to waste your time & money and still not get a job.

THERE IS NO DRIVER SHORTAGE and many drivers with experience & nothing in any record are not getting hired today. The media lied &ied & published stories about a truck driver shortage THAT DOES NOT EXIST.

I would suggest truck driving is not a trade for you because that class of felony are wholly repulsive & unlikely to receive sympathy for more than a very small number of employers. Felons do find truck driving jobs but that kind of felony will have more difficulty than an "average" felon, IMO. I left my commentary out of my answer. It does not indicate my very strong feeling about that category of felony crimes.

Which is why normal people stay far enough from an "out of bounds" situation that they can't be charged/convicted of such a crime in that category. To speak of a different crime a teenager (new driver) with little experience with alcohol or drugs isn't exempted from a felony conviction when the hypothetical impaired DUI crash happens and an innocent person is destroyed. I don't want to know any details of your crime or conviction, so please don't describe them but very generally and only if there's is no alternative. But as an example only, some might argue a 20 year old having adult relations with a 17 year 11 month old is one thing and a 19 or 20 year old forcing adult activity on a 7 year old are very different things. Someone with a conviction close to the first example might EVENTUALLY find a job, maybe. Someone with a conviction close to the 2nd example will & should have a very difficult or impossible job search, IMO.

When the question is "have you ever" the answer in your case is "yes". Trucking companies will fire drivers on the spot for lying on an application, even if the truth would not have prevented the applicant getting hired. The point being lying on an application is always a firing offense. Since your black mark has a paper trail you have zero chance of getting away with lying about it except as long as it takes to discover it. Companies check databases of convictions yearly or more. If someone lied about a felony they might not get hired, only work for a few days or weeks, or be employed month before the conviction was found in a govt or insurance company database. Then they are fired. Possibly told to vacate the truck right now, even if you are 8 states from home & less than a dollar in your pocket. That termination would be reported to another database & the next job search would be even less productive due to a felony AND a termination for cause.

I think what's really holding me back is my work experience and location. Besides my charge of course. Maverick knew about my past and everything. Got to my location and they said I'm out of their range for their CDL program. Swift said I don't have enough work experience for the last two years(been unemployed).
