IROCUBabe, thanks for your info about GTS, i think i might be be going to ATL for orientation on mon the 2ed. By chance does anyone know how the ATL orientation is?
If i get to OK i will go there and try to tell my experience with them, but i aint no writer, nor am i good at relaying thought into type.
I had forgotten about them tell Kristin emailed me back asking if i was still interested in a OTR position with them, came on here and reread the GTS info, and again thanks IROCBabe for the good info.
Y'all have a good day and a safe trip.

I forgot to mention another pro but can't edit the original lol. If a mod wanted to ad this to the pro list that would be great. Or it can be here. You guys make it hard to keep the first post updated with the most relavant information like I can elsewhere
Fuel Bonus is SPEED! Okay maybe this is just a pro on my end, but while GTS doesn't have a fuel bonus pay, that I am aware or that I see in this spiffy book, they do have an awesome fuel bonus program that I like better then the hard to get .002 cpm bonus that other cos have. You maintain low idle, good fuel mpg, and you get faster truck. The trucks START at 65, as their base speed. With good fuel mileages, you are allowed up to 68-70. Which if you think about it, kinda adds up to like 1.00 more an hour.

We are home now! Whew hard week 6000 miles for the week, finishing the month at around 17k. We were going to go head and throw the truck into the shop for PM but alas our dispatcher needs our services, so we are cutting hometime short by a day to run a roundtrip load, and then taking hometime on the return end.
The next load looks neat... its escorted... hmm...JustSonny and CertifiedSweetie Thank this. -
Anyone know if they allow pets

Yeah, we get 8.0mpg # 65 most of the time and 7.3 MPG # 70. And I refuse to answer questions that have been expressly answered in the first posting there Lady. Sorry. But if you don't want to read the first post that says read me first then....?
-
First of all I have NO problem reading anything but if I would have known there was a first page with the info I wouldn't have asked the question. Instead of you making a smart remarks about my reading you could have just simply said that it was already answered like someone else who just told me but I guess you'd rather be rude. -
If you consider being told to read what I already spent quite a while typing out rude thats fine. I consider the fact you asked something already answered in bold rude myself. Afterall, I don't get anything from the time I take to provide you and others considering the company the information I have provided. The least I can expect is that someone wanting info read it. /shrug

REMEMBER; we are here to help everyone SO it is OK to redirect a question to a previous post it is NOT ok to do so with an "attutude" perceived or real.....
THANK YOUrookietrucker, Mastertech, JustSonny and 1 other person Thank this. -
Well how you said it was very rude. I dont know what problem you seem to have with me or what I said to make you have a attitude but I could care less but thanks for your response and I eventually seen the answer to my question and now back to the thread topic.

Personally, seems like a misunderstanding here. Hard to distinguish 'tone of voice' from text, most of the time, I've seen it happen quite a lot, and definitely not just on this Forum. So, no real sense in dragging it out, is there? And that's not meant to be rude, just saying.
Also, thank you to the original poster for all that -very- useful information. Since I'm still trying to find the 'right way' to start out, any and all information that can be had is good, even if the information itself is negative about a certain company. Helps me know what companies and/or schools to steer clear of, and gives a better picture of those that may be a good option.NGa mountain man Thanks this.
