Sorry, but nobody that uses tools for a living would ever put Snap-On in the same category as Harbor Freight.
Don't get me wrong, their Icon brand is ok for what it is and the US General tool chests are one hellova deal but they aren't professional quality like Snap-On is.
I had my 52" USG box parked right next to a 10k Snap-On box at my last tech job and we compared them side by thoroughly.
Snap-On was constructed better with more spot welds, better bends to increased structural integrity and the metal was slightly thinner.
Also, the drawer sliders were more robust on the SO and the drawers slid all the way out allowing full access to the rear when opened
I still could never justify spending that kind of money because I don't think it's worth it. The USG box will last a lifetime. The SO box will last several lifetimes.The_vett Thanks this. -
