Another entitled prick. Let him live like we do and see if he still feels the same. Also maybe he should move away from that cesspool if he is that concerned about air quality.

It was especially relevant to me because last night I idled for maybe 10 minutes while I unstrapped to cool down the cab so my battery apu would be able to keep it cool.

My battery powered unit isn’t charging so my truck has been running since Monday morning. Even while I was in NY state this week.

Nothing new, they’ve been doing it for years. Not the first time it’s made headlines.

Simply get a note from your doctor that you need the ac/ heat for medical reasons and it’ll override any no idle law.

Currently auto start idling to charge the batteries because they've been unloading all morning and my inverter started beeping at me. Does that count as idling when it's actually charging? Battery powered air conditioning is only good for 10 hours or so on eight batteries.

    Magoo1968 and mitrucker Thank this.

It won’t prevent you from getting a ticket.
Just let it idle and keep a lookout for anyone video recording your truck. They need to show 3 minutes of video of your truck idling.

If someone starts recording then shut it down after 2 minutes 55 seconds..rinse and repeat :)

    D.Tibbitt and gentleroger Thank this.

I bet the only fines they actually collect are from local companies. I bet most trucks from out of state just ignore them. I would.

Trruck says it's 95°. isn't there a temperature at which it's okay for AC just like for heat? I know that's the case in some states.
