There was a group of them trying to run the 'con one time I was up there. They ended up taking 5 days to get through with all the getting stuck, breaking, and other types of carnage. We passed them on the way in late Friday, Rolled back down the trail on Saturday to check on them. They finally got up to the helipad Sunday mid day -- about when we were already packed and getting ready to run.

Decided to get rolling before they finished lunch so they would not have the chance to block Cadillac.

Had several levels of instruction in the Army, but they did not cover that. Should they restart the draft, I will consider Navy.

An aside.. Bobby Moore and I drove a lot for the same companies and at one time we got this wild hair to maybe ship out and see farther away exotics places... So; in New Orleans; laying over for bananas, we scouted out a waterfront bar. In a one beer time, we got our needed information.
There were some of the scroungiest looking and dressed patrons there. One with a knife like a sword in his belt and one had a hay hook coming out of his arm. Assorted rags they had on would not do for shop rags. One had a xammed parrot on the chair by him.
I was content to ride the ferry over to Algiers once and the ferry from Vancouver to Port Angeles once.
I like Terra Firma, The more the Firma, the lesser the Terra...

Since you're in MO now, start asking around at the shenanigans that went on at the Reform, MO nuclear plant. I know a union electrician and a security guard that worked that project and the stories they told. Ironically, I put a Fire Pump Engine into service at it's "sister" plant here in Burlington, KS when I first moved here and those guys said the same thing happened on that job. Cost plus jobs, gotta love 'em.

Case tractors. Diamond transportation has it sewed up. And they broker it at pitiful rates. I don’t even call on a diamond load anymore
