If I could take mine, I would get rid of my home.

Exactly. The perfect definition of an Oxymoron if I've ever heard one.

Well, unfortunately the wife is named on it, so it makes it harder for me, but in total agreement. :)

Well; l Ugly girls have other stuff to offer, but a crushed car???

That group part of/has one in Osceola? Buster Shoemake 's brother owns/did own it.
Added from an old post of mine...
FYI.. You ever look for an excellent used truck, check with Osceola recycling/ ?Shoemake. PER his bro, he trades on a cycle, don't allow smoking in his trucks, and has a waiting list of wants to buy. May not be cheapest, but best on market...

    Did not ignore.

Complicated & lengthy to explain. Debated whether to even reply, but could also be a cautionary story.

Will try. Had very first colonoskopy/endo last year due to some issues. Not great, but all med cleared.

3wks ago, suffered major episode that essentially incapacitated me in truck in NC 1100mi from Tulsa.

While incapacitated for 2wks, carrier of last 6yrs I run my truck/trailer under decides to go bankrupt. (Worked exclusively with same for last 13yrs in one manner or another, but for 2yrs).

Plan fell through for friend to drive me/truck back & fly back to his.(Company driver elsewhere).

Had no choice but to get my truck back on own no matter how before registration pulled & it not be stuck so far away.

Somehow, was able to make it back, but took 3/4 days. Really lucky to find place for truck/trailer, for now.

By time I made it back, had not eaten in 16 days, but got to my Dr. This 140# guy lost 30+ #'s.

Unbelievably not admitted on spot, but blood testing.

Results back 4/5 hours later & panic call to me instructing to get to emergency immediately, as possibly might cash out by morning.

So, into emergency then admitted right after. Blood transfusions, every kind of IV bag & antibiotics known to man all week.

Sounding like at least ulcerative colitis, compounded by infection. Blood also infected.

Being discharged with pick installed for self administered IV antibiotics. Still in bad shape, but will have friends couch & roof in meantime with a lot of specialist appointments ahead.

Just hope they can get me back to driving condition as soon as possible before I go under myself.

Last year had extremly high capital reserves. But, year old truck spent about 3mos combined at stealership for some issues since new. 2yr old trailer about same, but not at same time. Add in a month or 2 of down for beginning med indicators last year on top, was prob down for 7/8mos combined + hotels. Least I got in 6mos this year before crisis.

Only saving grace that has saved my ### is truck & trailer were both paid in cash.

Just have to get back in driving condition first & then try to figure out where to take large car & reefer.

No condition right now to be able to research, look about & inquire. Will not do any good until back ready anyways. Great situation to be in this lousy market, eh?

Lengthy & debated even posting any of this. But, why the hell not. I don't care. At least anyone who wonders gets to know.

Also, may just give real case example of what we warn others of t "you never know" that can happen, whether mechanical/injury/medical. Even with more than $100,000+ reserves, it can/does drain away fast in serious situations.

Healthy as an Ox my entire 59yrs until last year. Often never bothered with health insurance (invincible me!). So lucky I got myself coverage 5yrs ago. Importance of this is clear, things can change overnight.

Long one & sorry to bore everyone, but I sure as hell have had time to put it down.

Best to everyone here at TTR.

You really do have to prepare for any possibility. Sounds like you're headed in the right direction, but man, that's cuttin it close.
